Since i'm now at uni and have very little idea of where to start i thought trying my hand at photography would be a good place to begin :) These photos where done with the idea of not looking through the viewfinder or at them until i got home, and downloaded them to my computer. Sort of like a surprise i guess. Thats as far as it went though. Maybe ill use some to draw from later on ....

Ok so heres the crack. Im starting to move away from the whole zombie and comic strip stlye of things, at least where my sculpture is concerned. Ive been looking at a chap called Folkert de Jong :)
So im taking the human form again and trying to look at the ugle side of things with a dash of the old familiar dark and sinister.
So heres the start of Mr Ugly :) starting with some nice sandy clay for strength, and firstly constructing a rough head and shoulders (no knees no toes)

And so...i punched him :( I have put some holes in him where expanda foam will also spew out after ive painted him up a nice pastal colour :) lovely

And so after building and constructing some facial features i carved his head out with a spoon :)
After scooping out clay brains i added some detail to his face in the form of some eye brows, lips and nostrils, as well as some eyes out of common decency.

Zombie Boy the making of...
Zombie Hand: Latex was coloured and then painted onto my hand. I then turned it inside out for skin texture and filled it with plaster, moving the fingers and hand into shape and position as the plaster set :)
Latex Skin Tester: Again colouring latex, i pured it onto a board then got a clay dryer and burnet the underside which created bubbles for the effect of pustual skin.
Zombie Bust: Starting with a wooden cross frame and chicken wire i proceded to cover him in paper mache and plaster then painted him up and stapled on some 'skin' for a patchy look to the ole chap
Zombie old man face: Is actually a cast of my own face with more coloured latex then stretched and cut and placed on his fat head...
Adding some bloody cloths and attaching his hand the result was left till i decided what i really wanted to do...
The Zombie boy has now come under more work in where ive chopped his fat head off and now modding it :) stay tuned for, hopefully, some more updates :)
